Your privacy matters to us. zyttle is a web and mobile platform designed for families and teens — we take data protection seriously and will never sell your personal information to third parties.
zyttle is operated by Guaico LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. We built zyttle to connect families with trusted neighborhood sitters in a safe, private, and easy-to-use platform.

We collect only what we need to operate the Platform safely and effectively. Here's what that includes:
Information you provide directly:
Information collected automatically:
Information from third parties:
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
With other users — as needed for the Platform to work: When a booking is confirmed, limited profile information (name, photo, neighborhood, rating) is visible to the other party. Personal contact information (phone number, email) is not shared until after a first confirmed booking.
With service providers who help us operate:
These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.
For legal reasons: We may share information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
In a business transfer: If Guaico LLC is acquired or merges with another company, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before this happens and give you the option to delete your account.
🔵 zyttle serves users as young as 13 years old as Teen Sitters. We take our obligations under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable state laws seriously.
Teen Sitters (ages 13–17): A parent or legal guardian ("Guardian") must enter into our Terms of Service on the Teen Sitter's behalf and approve the Teen Sitter's profile before it goes live. By doing so, the Guardian consents to the collection and use of the Teen Sitter's information as described in this policy. We do not collect more information from Teen Sitters than is necessary to operate their sitter profile. The Teen Sitter does not enter into any agreement with us; only the Guardian does.
Children in parent profiles: Parents may add child profiles including name, age, and relevant care notes. This information is used solely to help sitters prepare for bookings. We do not display children's information publicly or share it beyond the confirmed sitter for a specific booking.
Parental and Guardian rights: Parents and Guardians may review, modify, or request deletion of a minor's information at any time by contacting us at hello@zyttle.com. We will respond within 5 business days. Guardians may also withdraw consent to a Teen Sitter's continued use of the Platform at any time — see Section 5.2 of our Terms of Service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have, we will delete it immediately.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
No system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, transaction records for tax purposes).
In-app messages are retained for a period of time to support safety review and dispute resolution, then deleted.
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@zyttle.com. We will respond within 10 business days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
Guardian rights on behalf of Teen Sitters. Guardians may exercise any of the rights above on behalf of a Teen Sitter they have approved under our Guardian approval process. Guardians may also withdraw consent to a Teen Sitter's continued use of the Platform at any time — see Section 5.2 of our Terms of Service.
No discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights — meaning we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service based on your exercise of these rights.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"). This section explains those rights and how to exercise them.
Categories of personal information we collect. In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information as defined under the CCPA:
Sources of personal information. We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, complete your profile, make or accept bookings, or contact us. We also receive verification results from third-party providers (Stripe, Checkr, Offenders.io) about your identity, payment status, or background check status.
Purposes for collection. We collect personal information to operate the Platform, process bookings and payments, verify users for safety, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations. We do not collect personal information for any other commercial purpose.
Sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" or "Do Not Share" link is required because we do not engage in these practices.
Your CCPA rights. As a California resident, you have the right to:
How to exercise CCPA rights. To submit a verifiable consumer request under the CCPA, email us at hello@zyttle.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" and a description of the right you wish to exercise. We will respond within 45 days of receipt. We may extend this period by an additional 45 days where reasonably necessary, in which case we will inform you of the extension.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to make a CCPA request on your behalf. We will require written proof of the agent's authorization and verification of your identity before processing the request.
Retention. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. See Section 7 (Data Retention) for general retention practices.
Other state privacy rights. Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, delete, and correct their personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the same method as for California requests; we will honor applicable state-specific rights regardless of your location.

zyttle uses certain third-party providers to operate the Platform, including:
Each third-party provider has its own privacy policy that governs how it collects, uses, and protects the personal information it processes on our behalf. By using the Platform, you covenant, agree, and warrant that you have read, understood, and accepted the then-current privacy policy and terms of service of each third-party provider that delivers a service to you as part of the Platform, as those policies and terms are updated from time to time. You are responsible for reviewing those documents directly with the third-party provider.
We require all third-party providers to meet appropriate data protection standards under contract, but zyttle is not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification and update the effective date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of zyttle after any change means you accept the updated policy. Where this Privacy Policy applies to a Teen Sitter through a Guardian's acceptance, the Guardian's continued allowance of the Teen Sitter's use of the Platform after the effective date of the change constitutes the Guardian's acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy on the Teen Sitter's behalf.
For any privacy questions, concerns, or requests:
We aim to respond to all privacy inquiries within 5 business days.
We take every message seriously — especially anything safety or privacy related.
